Choosing a real estate broker can influence how the sale of a property goes. The broker’s netywork, connections, as well as proficiency in selling a property is challenged each time he tries to sell a property.

For first time property sellers, choosing a broker can be overwhelming. There is usually a lot of brokers operating in a community or network of communities such that there will be a lot of them to choose from.

It is also very important to check the licenses and accreditation of the broker or real estate agent. The Housing Land Use and Regulatory Board or HLURB has a list of accredited brokers and salespersons in their website that those selling or buying properties can consult.

Time.com’s Money 101 also shared several tips on choosing the best real estate agent either for buying or selling a property. One of the points they emphasized is the agent’s industry experience as well as expertise in the community where one is planning to buy or sell a home.

“Real estate is a local game, and to win you need someone who plays in the areas where you’re looking to buy.
